oh, how pinteresting!

Today, I'm joining The Vintage Apple for her weekly Pinterest update for the first time! I will go ahead and admit that I spend WAY to much time on Pinterest. But I mean, who doesn't?!

The Ultimate Guide to BB Cream: BB creams are biggest thing in beauty right now, and no wonder: They make your skin look flawless while delivering amazing skincare benefits, too.

So BB creams seem to be all the rage these days. I am clearly out of the loop on this one, because I have never used one. I'm hoping this post from The Daily Makeover will help me figure out which one to try since there are sooo many!

I am obsessed with chevron and the pretty pastels of Spring!

Um, can I please have this bedroom?!

No Joke!

Ok girls, I know we've all felt this way at some point! Remember in high school, when you never thought you were skinny enough? And then, after a few years in college you look back on pictures from high school and think, 'damn, I wish I still looked that good!' Ha.

MLB Baseball Tee- need this!

This is too cute and has me excited for baseball season to really start! Go Braves!

My first Birchbox!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I finally subscribed to Birchbox at the beginning of the month, and I received my first one yesterday! I've seen some negative things that people have been saying about the program lately, mostly that the quality/size/amount of the products offered has decreased and that it's not that great anymore. But, I figured I would still go ahead and give it a try since you can cancel at any point.

I will admit...at first, there was a little bit of a let down when I opened the box (I think because I was expecting one from what I'd been hearing!) I mean, in all honesty, for $10, this isn't very much. These samples are pretty small..but I will give it another month or so.

1. Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tent - I was really hesitant about this at first because of the 'Bronze' color noted on the outside of the bottle...I was afraid I was way to pale right now for any sort of tinted anything! But after applying...it actually blended in quite nicely! It did give me a little bit of a glow, which I haven't seen on my skin in months! HA. But with a little blending, and the long sleeves and layers I was wearing today, you didn't notice that I was really a few shades lighter than I looked! Probably the only issue, and I think this goes with any tinted moisturizer I've ever tried, is that my skin is extremely dry this time of year and I need something a little thicker to really help my skin out. But in another month or so, this product will be awesome!

2. Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle - Not gonna lie, I was excited about this one. I go back and forth between curly and straight hair, and it has gotten ridiculously long, so I actually bought a detangler a few months ago. And let me tell you...detanglers for adults are hard to find. I found plenty with strawberry-watermelon, no more tears, in dinosaur shaped containers for kids. But not much for me. This product claims to do a lot, including healing your hair and taming frizz. As for the detangle part...it works. As for the rest, I don't know...I immediately put my hair in a ponytail after I dried it, so I'll have to decide on all the rest later!

3. Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator - I forgot to put this in my shower this morning, so I didn't get to use it. But I'm definitely excited to try it tomorrow morning with all this dry skin I have going on. It claims to have professional-grade ingredients, so we shall see!

4. Votivo Pink Mimosa Candle - Ok, I am obsessed with the White Barn candle line at Bath and Body Works. I just have never found a line that has as many scents that I like love, and that smell so intensely and for so long. And this one just didn't do the trick. It was a very faint smell, and I wasn't really crazy about it. So, I wasn't a fan of this and won't be purchasing one.

5. Harvey Prince Eau Flirt - I am not the kind of girl that switches up scents constantly...I have a few tried-and-true ones that I stay with, so this one has a tough act to follow. And since I was off today and just left the house to go for a run, I haven't used it.

6. Ghirardelli Milk and Caramel - I mean does this even need a review?! It's chocolate. With caramel inside. Enough said!

Did you get a Birchbox this month? If so, what did you think about what was inside??

My VDay sob story.

So in honor of Valentine's day tomorrow, I figured I would go ahead and get my personal day of love horror story out of the way.

Once upon a time, I was dumb and decided to live with my boyfriend. Big mistake.

We we're the typical "high school sweethearts," and after a few years in college, we moved in to our own apartment together. Fast-foward to a little over a year after that happened, and you arrive at Valentine's Day 2009 (I think that was the year? Ha I've sort of erased those few years from my mind.)

So, that year the UGA men's basketball team had a huge home game, and my boyfriend's family (all UGA alumni) wanted to come up for the game. Yay.

We woke up early that morning (it was a day game..so at least his family wasn't going to be around all day.) I immediately got up to shower and get ready, and so did he. So the whole morning goes by, and we never see or speak to each other. Weird. Well, then he leaves and still never says a word. So I'm all like WTF? I call him to figure out what's up, and he informs me he's just running the trash and recycling out, and he'll be right back. Ok, no big deal. So I take his card and leave it in the living room for him when he gets back. When he comes back, he goes into the living room and starts watching the tv and waiting on his family. I assume he opens his card, but he never acknowledges me, or it, or the fact that it's valentine's day. NOTHING.

I stop what I'm doing and go investgating, only to find he'd taken his card, unopened, and put it in his room. I get it, take it to him, and force him to open it. He does, doesn't say a word, and then sits it down and goes back to watching whatever was so interesting on tv. NEVER SAYS A WORD.

Now by this time, I obviously know something is very wrong. But his family shows up right around this point, so we never discuss it. But the day continues in this trend. I feel like I literally don't exist to him. We go to lunch, the game, and then back home...and still nothing. Of course his family has noticed something is wrong, and his mom and aunt question me when he's not around, and I break down and tell them I am so confused, that I have no clue what his problem is.

At some point, his mom gets him alone and talks to him, and then they inform me that he is going home with his mom for the weekend. As in, he's leaving right then. And he does. So, it's dinner time on valentine's day and I'm alone. My boyfriend won't speak to me, he leaves me, and I am heartbroken and utterly confused.

Needless to say, he wound up ending our relationship when he came back and that was that. Well, minus the one little fact that we were still in a lease together and could find no way out. So I had the pleasure of to endure hell living with my ex-boyfriend for ten whole months after we broke up.

So, there is my valentine's day sob story. Now this year, for the first time since that wonderful day, I have a boyfriend and get to actually enjoy the day again. Well, except that he lives two hours away and we don't get to see each other. But it definitely beats the last valentine's day I 'celebrated!'

Helllllloooo!!!

Hello, and welcome to my blog!
This isn’t my first experience with one of these things, but I’m really not good at using them. So I’m going to try and do my best with this one. But I feel like with this one being anonymous, I will find it easier to speak freely, so I will use it more. That’s the plan anyways…we’ll see how it goes.
I’m not 100% sure what all I’ll be writing about…I’m sure this blog will evolve as my life does. I know you’ll probably hear about the struggles of being a post grad in a shitty economy, life behind the bar, and my new internship I started today.
Who knows what else the future holds for this little baby though! I can’t wait to find out, and I hope you will stick around to find out with me!
